NEW WRITERS

A very warm welcome to Oliver Gavin! The four-time Le Mans 24 Hours class winner has started writing for the Motor Sport website and will be bringing you all the news from behind the scenes at the races. And, indeed, explaining just what racing drivers do at race meetings when they’re not behind the wheel. At the Daytona 24 Hours it turns out that it was listening to Sir Jackie Stewart take the mickey out of fellow Scots Allan McNish and Dario Franchitti. Oliver will be writing for us throughout the season, so do have a look at the ‘driver columns’ section of the site under ‘Race’.

Did we say driver columns with an ‘s’?

Yes, because when you read this Dario Franchitti will also have started writing for the Motor Sport website. The four-time IndyCar champion – as you can read on page 32 – is a huge fan of the history of the sport. When we asked if he’d write for the website his reply was simply “hell yes”.

IPAD EDITION

As we’re sure you will have noticed in recent issues of the magazine, we have launched an iPad edition. The feedback has been very good so far, and it seems that more and more people are converting to digital formats for reading magazines and books. Yes, Motor Sport will remain a paper magazine, but it’s understandable that people don’t always want to take the physical copy around everywhere with them (much as we’d like them to!). If you are a subscriber then you actually get the iPad edition free, so do head to the Apple Newsstand or to iTunes, where or you need to type ‘Motor Sport magazine’ into the search box. You will also find all our podcasts on there as well.

Since the digital edition is enriched by the presence of extra images and videos, it really is worth a couple of clicks of the mouse or taps of your finger on the iPad.
