Rally show to feature historics

Sports and GT rally cars from 1960 to the present day will be in action at the Rally Show at Chatsworth on June 6/7. While contemporary GT cars were a feature of the 2008 event, the inclusion of historic sports and GT cars is a new development for ’09.

The move should attract entries ranging from the Porsche 911 and Triumph TR7 V8, to the Lancia Stratos and Renault Alpine. Classes will also be run for British and Northern Irish historic championship cars.

Other innovations include a Nations Cup and an end of day run-off for the 10 fastest cars.
