Mario and Moore?

Sir, 

I very much enjoyed Simon Taylor’s report on his lunch with Mario Andretti and all the memories it generated. 

This prompted an almost forgotten memory. Can I ask your readers if I was dreaming, or did Mario once appear with Roger Moore in The Saint?

As I recall it, the plot called for Moore to take over Mario’s race car (a single-seater at that) for some strange reason; this improbable event not even mentioning the rather different statures of the two.

I have often spoken of this to friends but none seem to remember it. Since this was before magic mushrooms perhaps I dreamed it.
