Dyna-mate

My memory of Peter Collins involves an 850cc Dyna Panhard, which had been brought over for him to drive in a Silverstone Touring car race.

I remember my excitement when he drove my father’s highly tuned Ford Prefect with me as passenger while my father tried out the Panhard. 

Two things I clearly remember are how this real racing driver chatted to me (I was 10 or 11 then) and how slow the Dyna Panhard was compared to the Prefect. After this, of course, he was my hero. 

However, I have no recall of how the Dyna Panhard performed or if it even started. Perhaps someone could enlighten me?
