Organisers expect a dozen 1984-87 F1 cars for demonstration runs

The organisers of the GPLive event at Donington Park in May are hoping to have a spread of F1 cars from the turbo era to take part in demonstration runs over the weekend of May 19/20.

“We’re aiming to get about a dozen cars from the 1984-87 era to run,” says event director Charles Challinger. “It will be a rare opportunity to see these cars in action.” Among the cars pledged is an ex-Senna Lotus-Renault 98T from 1986, shown above on pole position at the French GP.

In addition, a number of pre-wing 3-litre F1 cars are being assembled from the 1966-1968 era, and will either complete demonstration runs or race during GPLive, depending on the wishes of the owners.
