Now annual, and growing in status, this Alberto Ascari commemoration at Imola is held in autumn, when the parkland setting shows off the circuit in its finest colours. This is a fitting finale to the historic season.

The double world champion is remembered by several HGPCA races as well as a trio of FIA championships, including the splendid Lurani Trophy Formula Junior series.

Close to Bologna airport, the event could easily be linked with a Mille Miglia pilgrimage, the road race in which Ascari first made his name.
