was most interested to read about Genevieve in January’s MOTOR SPORT and then the piece recalling a veteran Sunbeam in the subsequent issue.
I well remember both lack Wadsworth and his yard in those days, situated close to the junction of St Johns Road and St Johns Court where I used to spend my school holidays. I divided my time between Jack’s yard and fishing in the River Thames. Understandably, lack
Wadsworth discouraged schoolkids from the great attractions in his yard, but he had a soft spot for me, for I believe he knew I was an orphan of the London Blitz. In fact, he had rather more time for me than my aunt had when I used to arrive home for lunch covered from head to toe in vintage oil and grime.
I remember huge piles of rusting vintage cars at the back of the yard and a narrow alleyway where a row of vintage sports cars, including twin-cam Sunbeams, were lined up. It was a complete
