25: Nordic Racing’s first test with its Lola T94/50 F3000 chassis ends in a gravel trap at Snetterton, driver Marc Goossens having been forced off the circuit by lapanese veteran Hiroshi Fushida. Fushida was enjoying himself at the wheel of the rebuilt Maki F101, the car which he unsuccessfully tried to qualify for the 1975 British GP. The Maki, now owned by Ian Lammers, is undamaged in the incident.

25: Despite a week of meetings in Japan, Mitsubishi still isn’t sure what its exact WRC programme will be, though Lancers are expected to be sent to both the Acropolis and New Zealand rallies.
