When I last reviewed this Formula One annual I said there was no need for anything else, and study of the 1988-89 edition has not changed that opinion. MRP is to be commended on its early publication; it claims that Townsend’s colour pictures are “of better quality than those in similar annuals” and few will quarrel with that. Race reports and tables are backed up by articles on McLaren, John Barnard and Enzo Ferrari, and Alan Jones reviews the drivers. At the price, it must surely he another winner. WB
