Having referred recently under this heading to some petrol-powered cars suitable for children, we learn of another, made by John Gillett Sports Cars, of 6 Station Road, Stoke d’Abernon, Surrey, who also make the Lynx Karts. Intended for children of 8 to 11 years of age, the Lynx Delta II is a slab-shaped sports-two-seater, with roll-protection bar and a tubular chassis said to absorb high impacts. The engine is a 5 h.p. four-stroke Briggs & Stratton, giving a top speed of 25 m.p.h. depending on the gearing, and the tyres are 450 x 5, with treads. The two-tone body is of fibre-glass, with tinted windscreen, and radio and electric lighting are extras. For the kids of rich parents, presumably, as the basic price is £1,785. — W.B.
