Harry Ferguson's Rolls-Royce

Regarding your review of Colin Fraser’s “Harry Ferguson—Inventor and Pioneer” in the February issue, I can confirm Ferguson’s use of a Rolls-Royce because I now own his Phantom III. Or, rather, I have his P.111 chassis, for the original Barker limousine body was removed by a subsequent owner who fitted a slightly earlier Phantom Ill body, a far handsomer sports saloon by J. Gurney-Nutting.

In fact, this car was sold through an advertisement in MOTOR SPORT in July 1963, where a photograph of it will be found on page 563, captioned “late property of a world-famous millionaire”. If any reader has a copy of that issue he cares to dispose of, I would gladly receive it.
