H.C.V.C. Brighton Run
The popular Brighton Run for historic commercial vehicles takes place this year on Sunday, May 4th. The first vehicle will leave Battersea Park, London, at 7.30 a.m., and the Assistant Commissioner (Traffic) of Scotland Yard has relented to 180 entrants following the first away at 40-sec. intervals, so that the Park will be clear by 9.30 a.m., giving more people a chance to see the cavalcade of vans, trucks, steamers and ‘buses, etc., go down to Brighton. This event ranks close to the V.C.C. “Brighton” in importance and public appeal. We hope to be on one of the vehicles and to give photographic coverage, perhaps in colour. Further details next month.
