Good service
Sir,
A very small collision with a very large snowball someone had rolled onto the road wrecked the exhaust downpipe of my 1939 Alvis 12/70.
I ‘phoned Alvis at Coventry at 4 p.m. asking for a replacement as soon as possible. At 3 p.m. the following afternoon—23 hours later—a railway van driver struggled through the snowdrifts in my lane to deliver the new pipe.
How’s that for service?
R. PRATT.
