A Silver Hawk?
Sir,
My father has forgotten most of the details about the car in this picture, although he was sitting in the passenger seat when the photograph was taken, in the early 1920s; the car belonged to his brother. It is believed to be a Sage Silver Hawk, 4-cylinder o.h.c, made in Peterborough. He also tells me that the Sage works were engaged in making aircraft propellers in World War I and after the war changed over to car manufacture on the premises now occupied by Perkins’ Marine Engines at Walton, Peterborough.
If you, or any of your readers, could supply me with any information as to its real identity and details, I should be most interested and grateful.
D.M. ELLIS,
Scraptoft.
