Embarrassing Demand!

Sir,

You will recall that you mentioned our house journal What’s New in the January issue of your excellent monthly. Your comment related to the fact that we were publishing colour plates, and articles on “Doctors’ Cars.”

It may interest you to learn that, to date, we have had over a thousand requests for one particular issue of What’s New (that containing a plate of “Old No. 7” Bentley, as raced by Dr. Benjafield). Requests continue to arrive from far-away places, proving that you have a very wide readership.

However, I would be grateful if, should you mention What’s New again, you would qualify your comment by indicating that our journal is intended directly for the medical profession. If we did not restrict our circulation to those people for whom What’s New is intended, you can imagine that costs would get out of hand. Every request we have so far received has been serviced but stocks of the Bentley issue are now practically exhausted.
