The B.A.R.C. are now letting Bristol Aces and Healey .3000s into the Marque ‘Races as a result of clamour from the Bristol Ace boys.

Fine., let them all come; no good ever eanic from excluding a chap because he goes quickly, but why can’t itroductiott sports-car races be divided into rlosStat (like tlie sub-mu-car races), with a special award for an overall win irrespective of elasS ?

There are several drivers in the smaller rapacity classes who, discouraged by the hopelessness of Climpeting against larger capacity ears,. do not now enter for manor raves. This is ondcrstandahle; one may not mind finishing down the field–Imt who wants to look utterly foolish by being completely out-classed by larger engines ? What most drivers want is to compete against ears and drivers of similar capacity and ability.

If there were marque classes, every marque could be represented in big, medium and small capacities, with equal chance of success: As it is, I think there is a danger of marque races turning into BristolAee/Austin Healey races. Perhaps the 15.A.R.C. are net unduly concerned about this—the entry lists will no doubt be full but not truly -representative of all marques. 1 am, Yours. etc.,
