"Motor Sport" Club Trophies

The Motor Sport Club Trophy will be contested this season at Silverstone and the Motor Sport Brooklands Memorial Trophy at Goodwood, as in previous years. The Goodwood B.A.R.C. Members’ Meetings counting for this contest will be held on April 26th, June 14th, July 12th, and August 23rd. The winner, on points gained during these meetings receives the Brooklands Cup and a cheque for £75. Second and third prizes are £50 and £25.

The following clubs are participating in the Club Trophy contest: Vintage S.C.C., Aston Martin O.C., M.C.C., Midlands M.E.C., Eight Clubs, and Peterborough M.C. The Vintage S.C.C. is the first, being held on April 12th, beginning at 12 noon. Each club sets aside three five-lap handicap races in its programme, the first six finishers in each of these then running in a Motor Sport race, the last event of the meeting. The first six finishers from this event become automatically eligible for the final race of the season, the winner of which receives the Silverstone Trophy Cup and a cheque for £75. Second and third prizes are £40 and £15. Small cash prizes of £10, £6 and £3, respectively, are awarded to the first three finishers in each qualifying event.
